MY Story

I've been involved with Beachbody for almost five  years now and my life has definitely changed.  
It was the spring of 2010 when my husband talked me into going on our first cruise.  Well as a mother of four and a grandmother, I felt sluggish, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and was self conscious about the way I looked.  I wasn't necessarily overweight but I did need to tone.  So I got in touch with a wonderful Beachbody Coach and started P90X and Shakeology,  I hoped by summer I would tone a little and feel good about myself.  It was not easy at first, as a matter of fact it was very hard.  By the end of 90 days I was able to do the entire program.  I could not believe it.  I swore I'd never quit because I knew how hard it was to start.  Needless to say My blood pressure and cholesterol went down, My LDL Cholesterol went from 140 to 129, my HDL went from 71 to 86 (the higher the better).  I also lost a total of seven pounds and six inches. 

Fast forward to the following year and our next cruise, (we were hooked), I started and finished my second round of P90X  with the help of my Coach Casey and our accountability group.  Upon finishing my second round of P90X and still loving Shakeology I decided to sign up as a Beachbody Coach (inactive) in order to get cheaper Shakeology.  I love using Shakeology as a meal replacement.  It makes me feel awesome and has all the vitamins I need.  I can't remember the last time I have been sick.  Shakeology has also continued to keep me off blood pressure and cholesterol meds.   
Within the last two years I have continued to be consistent doing Beachbody’s other programs including Slim In 6, PiYo, P90 and 21 day fix.  I have also retired from my job and became an “active” coach.  This decision has kept me consistent, accountable, healthy and comfortable in my own skin.  I love and believe in Beachbody and all their products.  I want to help other people on their journey to health and fitness and share what works for me. 

No matter what your health and fitness goals are, don't let go of the dreams you have for yourself. Don't ever believe that something is out of your reach, because if you work hard enough at it, it is a possibility. Your Beachbody Coach AND Beachbody can get you there. Everything we do in life is a direct reflection of our health. The healthier we are, the more we can accomplish. I want you to accomplish something you've always wanted to do.

21 Day Fix Upper Fix done today!!
I just wanted to share with you one of the exercises in today's workout.  This is the standing front raise.  In this video these are only 5 pound weights but it is still hard.

My meals were fairly clean today.  I had my shakeology for breakfast and a turkey wrap with spinach leaves and tomato for lunch.  Dinner will be a black bean chili.

21 Day Fix - Round 2

I am currently on round two of my 21 Day Fix! This program has done wonders in my toning. I have lost about 3 inches all around. The workouts have gotten easier, I have gotten stronger and no longer have to modify.  I also love the portion control meals.  This has given me the desire to eat cleaner and check out new recipes. I have added some new recipes in my "recipe section" of this blog.
I have a private free Facebook group where we check in daily with our workouts, water, and food. Any workout is accepted.  It keeps us all consistent and accountable. Contact me for more information.  Have a great day everyone!!
